What is Admin Abuse in Steal An Egg?

Admin Abuse is a scheduled window where the game’s developers use admin commands live on servers. Instead of waiting for the normal rare spawn cycle, they drop high-rarity eggs straight into zones and a server message tells everyone where. It is not an exploit and nothing you do during it is bannable — it is the busiest, most rewarding hour of the week.

When does Admin Abuse happen?

Every session so far has followed the same pattern: Saturday, about 15:00 UTC, right before a content update goes live.

Times above use summer offsets. When the US and Europe switch back to standard time, the local hour shifts by one while 15:00 UTC stays the same.

What happens during Admin Abuse?

Based on player reports across past sessions:

• Announced egg drops. Secret, Eternal and Divine eggs are placed in zones with a chat message naming the egg and the biome. Past drops included a Golden Divine Kitsune Egg and a Silver Eternal Oni Tiger Egg in Cherry Blossom, and Eternal Gorilla King and Secret Mutant Shark eggs in the Titan Temple.
• Server-wide boosts. Income, egg luck and mutation boosts are commonly switched on for everyone, which is why mutated shells (Silver, Golden, Rainbow) show up far more often.
• Faster egg resets. Reports describe world eggs resetting roughly every five minutes, the same interval as the normal rare cycle, but with better odds per reset.
• Minigames. Some sessions ran side activities with exclusive eggs as prizes. These change every time, so read the announcement rather than planning around a specific one.

How do I prepare for Admin Abuse?

Most players lose Admin Abuse eggs to Speed or Pen space, not luck. Do this the day before:

1. Push Speed first. Announced eggs sit in late zones. You need to reach the zone before six other players and outrun its guardian carrying a heavy egg — aim for double the zone gate. The Speed planner shows how many treadmill hours that takes.
2. Clear Pen space. Sell or fuse low earners so a new Divine or Eternal pet can go straight into an equip slot.

4. Join 15–20 minutes early. Servers cap at 7 players and full servers are common at start time. Join early and pick a server where you are clearly the fastest.

What should I do the moment an egg is announced?

Read the zone name, sprint there, grab the egg and go straight back to your incubator. Do not stop to check the egg or chat. If another player reaches the nest first, do not chase — stay in a central spot so you are closer to the next announcement. Once the egg is banked, the pet tier list tells you whether it earns a permanent equip slot.
