What are Rifts in Steal An Egg?

Rifts are purple portals that arrived with Update #3. The official event “RIFTS ARE OPENING” launched on September 5, 2026. When a Rift opens, a countdown runs and players on the server are pulled into a shared arena to fight the Abyss Overlord. The fight is cooperative: everyone in the arena works on the same health bar, and everyone who takes part is rewarded.

How do I beat the Abyss Overlord?

The fight repeats a simple loop until the boss drops:

1. Break the crystals. Power crystals shield the boss. While any crystal stands, the Overlord takes no damage, so the whole group should switch to crystals first. Community guides count five.
2. Survive the attack wave. Once the crystals fall, the boss answers with orbs and falling rocks. Keep moving and do not stand in the marked impact zones.
3. Hit the hand. After a slam, the boss’s hand rests on the ground in a dormant phase. That is your damage window — attack it until it lifts.
4. Repeat. The crystals return and the cycle starts again.

One guide lists the Overlord at 27,300 HP. With a full server the fight is short; alone, expect several cycles.

How do I earn Boss Tokens?

Tokens come only from Overlord kills and can only be spent in the Boss Shop. A full clear is reported to pay around 1,200 tokens plus a Secret Rift Egg. Reaching 5 kills makes every later payout 50% larger, which is why early kills matter more than they look.

What does the Boss Shop sell?

The best-value buy depends on what you are short of. If a biome gate is holding you back, stack the Treadmill Booster with AFK treadmill time. If you already have a strong Pen, the Cash Booster pays back fastest. The Mutation Consumable is a gamble: each one gives the egg you use it on only a 10% chance to hatch Fractured (2.75x), so expect about ten consumables — roughly 4,000 tokens — per success. What are the Boss Mastery rewards?

Mastery counts kills, and spending tokens never touches it.

Which pets come from Rift eggs?

The Abyss Overlord itself can be hatched as a pet. Reported base income is about $1.2M/s, far higher with a mutation. Compare any new Rift pet against your current lineup in the income calculator before swapping it in.

What are Rift sacrifices?

The lobby also has a Rift sacrifice altar. It asks for three specific pets, the request rotates every 3 hours on all servers, and paying it gives one exclusive Rift egg. A reroll exists but does not guarantee a cheaper request. Only sacrifice duplicates you would have fused anyway.

How do I get the most out of each Rift?

Stay near the map centre when the countdown is close, so you are in the server when it fires. Put a Cash Booster on just before the fight — kills are fast, and the boost keeps running after you return to base. For more event timing, see the update log.
