Which gamepasses does Steal An Egg have?
Only two permanent passes are for sale. Prices and descriptions below are from the game’s public Roblox store listing, checked September 30, 2026.
| Gamepass | Price | Official description | Type |
|---|---|---|---|
| X2 MONEY! | 399 Robux | “Earn x2 more money!” | Permanent |
| X2 GROWTH SPEED! | 467 Robux | “Eggs grow x2 faster!” | Permanent |
Everything else sold for Robux in game is a one-time developer product, not a pass: Speed packs, the premium Monster Egg, and Instant Grow All (reported at 79 Robux). They are used up on purchase, so compare them differently — see the last section.
Is X2 Money worth it?
Yes, for nearly every player who plans to keep playing. Money in Steal An Egg comes almost entirely from pets earning every second. A pass that doubles that is the only purchase that grows with your account:
- A Pen making $50K/s gains an extra $50K/s — $180M more per hour.
- The same pass on a late-game Pen making $500M/s adds $1.8T per hour.
That extra money goes straight into trails and treadmill upgrades, so X2 Money also speeds up your Speed progress indirectly. The gamepass value calculator does this with your own income and play time, and shows how much sooner you reach your next goal.
Is X2 Growth Speed worth it?
It depends on where you are stuck. Growth Speed halves the incubator timer, so eggs become pets twice as fast. It helps when:
- You come back from a raid with more eggs than you can hatch before the next rare spawn cycle.
- You farm events like Admin Abuse, where many high-tier eggs arrive in a short window.
It helps little when your Pen is already full of strong pets and new eggs mostly end up as fuse fodder. In that case the time saved does not turn into more money.
Which should I buy first?
| Your situation | Buy first |
|---|---|
| New or mid-game, playing regularly | X2 Money |
| Late game, Pen already maxed | X2 Money |
| You hatch huge batches during events | X2 Growth Speed, after X2 Money |
| Short sessions, few eggs per day | X2 Money only |
| Playing for a week then quitting | Neither |
If you only buy one, buy X2 Money. It costs less and works every second you are in game, whether you are stealing, standing on the treadmill or sorting your Pen.
Are Speed packs and Instant Grow better value?
Usually not. Speed packs give a fixed amount of Speed once; even the largest pack stays below the Cherry Blossom gate (see the Speed guide), and treadmill time closes that gap for free. Instant Grow All saves one batch of waiting, then it is gone. A permanent pass keeps paying, so gamepasses beat consumables unless you need one specific egg hatched right now.
Can I get the same boosts for free?
Temporarily, yes. The Rift Boss Shop sells a 2x Cash Booster (10 minutes, 175 Boss Tokens), and Admin Abuse sessions often switch on server-wide income boosts. Neither is permanent, but a free-to-play player who times boss kills well gets a good taste of doubled income. Details are in the Rift boss guide.
